Austin Style J50 SS

Comstock Heritage Austin Style J50 SS. 1.5 Inch engraved stering silver buckle. For the steel gun engraving enthusiast. Normally, you engrave on the top surface of the buckle, like drawing on a paper with a pencil. In this "excavation" style of engraving. Rather than engraving the design on the top of the buckle, the dark areas are scooped or excavated away to leave the reverse design. It would be similar to writing a letter as compared to removing all the space on a piece of paper that is not a letter.
